I started my career in market research at Nielsen where I learned how to look at data and pull out the quantitative findings. In more recent years, my work in entertainment as an actor and content creator has helped me connect with my creativity and to better understand all the human emotions that go into marketing, branding and building an ecosystem. I’ve worked in-house at a start-up helping build their content pillars from ground zero, to working with an established touring Broadway show running their day to day social media to drive ticket sales; I’ve even coached individual creators at the beginning of their journeys to find their unique positioning within the market.
Being a content creator myself with a combined following of ~200k followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube allows me to understand the algorithm, trends, and new opportunities even better. I have a vested interested and genuine curiosity that goes beyond just a job requirement.
While this can vary depending on what stage the social media in question is at, I’ve found that in practice, there are a few basic things I can help most brands and individual creators with:
Define (or redefine) your core Content Pillars
Build out a dynamic and ongoing content calendar month by month
Compile a weekly trend alert that suggests ideas adapted to your niche based on pop culture, trending sounds and what is in-style at the moment
Film (Sony ZV, iPhone 15 Pro) or photograph (Canon Mark III) content
Edit existing videos we’ve filmed together (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro) or design posts using imagery you’ve provided (PhotoShop, Canva)
Schedule posts with the appropriate captions, hashtags and closed-captioning for best SEO results
Respond to comments and DMs across accounts
Perform audits at a regular cadence to figure out what is working and what is not
